Galvanización en caliente of finished products

REFERENCE IN THE SPECIFICATIONS

There are three standards which galvanization prescribers, consumers and businesses should consider in order to achieve perfect galvanization. All three have been recently updated by the certification bodies. We list them here for you.

Standard Type Purpose Calendar
EN ISO 1461 Galvanización en caliente coatings on finished iron and steel products / Specifications and test methods The ISO 1461 standard specifies the general properties of coatings and the test methods for coatings applied by Galvanización en caliente. This is the "reference" standard for Galvanización en caliente The ISO 1461:2009 standard came into force in May 2009 and replaced the previous version of the ISO 1461 standard in force since 1999.
ISO 14713-1 Zincados / Guidelines and recommendations for the corrosion protection of iron and steel in building structures / Part 1 - General principles of design and corrosion resistance The ISO 14713-1:2009 standard provides technical information on the general principles for designing parts to be protected against corrosion by a Zincado, as well as information on their protection in accordance with the environment to which the parts are exposed. The ISO 14713-1:2009 standard entered into force in December 2009 replacing the 1999 ISO 14713 standard
ISO 14713-2 Zincados / Guidelines and recommendations for the corrosion protection of iron and steel in building structures / Part 2 - Hot-dip galvanisation ISO 14713-2:2009 focuses on Galvanización en caliente and gives useful information on appropriate general design principles for parts to be hot-dip galvanised. The ISO 14713-2:2009 standard entered into force in December 2009 replacing the 1999 ISO 14713 standard
NF A 35 503 Steel products - Requirements for the Galvanización en caliente of steel parts The NF A 35-503 standard defines three classes of steels (A-B-C) suitable for galvanizing according to their silicon and phosphorus content. The NF A 35-503 standard entered into force in June 2008 replacing the previous version which had been in force since 1994.
