Galvanization lifespan

The galvanization lifespan depends on the thickness of the coating and the aggressiveness of the environment to which the galvanised parts are exposed.

Unheated spaces with variable temperature and damp rate. Low condensation frequency and low level of pollution, for example warehouses, gyms. Temperate zones, atmospheric conditions with low pollution (SO ² <5μg/m3), for example: rural areas, small towns. Dry or cold zones, atmospheric conditions with short periods of damp, e.g. deserts, subarctic regions.
C3
Spaces with moderate condensation frequency and moderate levels of pollution due to manufacturing processes, e.g. food processing plants, laundries, breweries, dairies. Temperate zones, atmospheric conditions with average pollution (SO ²: 5μg/m3 to 30μg/m3) or influence of chlorides, e.g. urban areas, coastal areas with low chloride deposits, for example subtropical and tropical areas, low air pollution.

Subtropical and tropical areas (very long wet periods), atmospheric conditions with very high pollution (SO² greater than 250μg/m3), including pollution related to manufacturing and/or strong influence of chlorides e.g. areas with heavy industry, coastal and maritime areas where occasional contact with sea salt spray occurs.
